When I wrote this I was mostly done with the core of the album but the label wanted something a little more upbeat and I was kind of beating myself up trying to create something that was happy when truthfully I wasnt.I was having big time COVID anxiety, stressing about what was happening in terms of the George Floyd murder, I was battling a lot of stress around how people would treat me as I allowed more of my true self to be seen in terms of my queerness. I didn’t have a happy upbeat song in my body but I found a sample and replayed everything and resang the hook then wrote a song that sounds like a love song but it's really about my fears and anxieties around my body and things that could take my life from me because of this time and who I am. But it's written from being stuck inside. Waking up, sitting with my thoughts and falling back to sleep over and over.
